Groundbreaking Ceremony for KHS Corpoplast's New Assembly Shop [04/26/2012]
That they are best prepared for the expected continuous growth in sales of InnoPET Blomax Series IV stretch blow molders, KHS Corpoplast in Hamburg has decided to invest in additional production space. Thomas Karell, the Managing Director of KHS Corpoplast, says, "In building a third production shop we can continue to ensure that our customers all over the world are provided with the stretch blow molder of their choice quickly and on time."
At the end of April 2012 the groundbreaking ceremony for the new building took place, in which KHS Corpoplast is investing 3.2 million euros. The production shop, which will provide approximately 2,500 m2/27,000 sq ft of extra assembly space, is to be finished by October 2012. KHS Corpoplast's Hamburg plant will then have about 11,000 m2/118,400 sq ft of assembly space, around 3,500 m2/37,700 sq ft for logistics use, and an office area of approximately 6,500 m2/70,000 sq ft. The company is already planning for the future success of the InnoPET Blomax Series IV. "In 2013 the offices are to be extended", states Karell, "and in 2015 we'll be adding an extra 2,500 m2/27,000 sq ft to the assembly area. Once everything's finished, by 2015 we'll have increased our production capacity by 100% compared to 2011."
