Highly prescripted: precision packaging equipment by Kayat
Kayat Engineering Corp. was founded by Bob Kayat in the late 1970’s in Connecticut. The company’s portfolio included low and medium speed precision packaging equipment for shrink and tray wrapping, primarily for the beverage and food industries.
In November of 1998, Kisters Inc., the Erlanger-based packaging equipment subsidiary of Kisters Maschinenbau GmbH acquired Kayat Engineering and the newly combined entity was called Kisters Kayat Inc.
In March 2003, Kisters Kayat Inc. was purchased by KHS, Inc. a division of Salzgitter. The brand names are known today as KHS Kisters and KHS Kayat.
As a packaging machine pioneer Kayat has set standards which continue to be valid today. The fact that many older machines are still in successful operation is proof of their top quality and durability. So that this remains so, you should always use original spare parts should the need arise. Only original components give you a persistently high level of line availability.
