Your responsibilities
Ensures proper follow up on conversions quote log; increases the sales revenues each year on conversions thru proper sales calls by staff and driving quoting activity.
Identifies key conversions to proactively sell to customers; supports sales staff to help close orders.
Works closely with engineering to develop proposals and identify new opportunities.
Acts as project manager on some projects.
Responsible for delivering conversion projects on time and within budget achieving target margins.
Visits the field for sales calls, audits & conflict resolution prior to beginning work
Works closely with the Field Service Manager to ensure conversions are executed properly in the Field; remove barriers between Conversions, Engineering and Field Service and support teamwork and process focus.
Communicate at all levels both internal and external to assure excellence in execution.
Expedites critical emergency requests for quotations thru the system when necessary.
Coordinate all resources with other managers and departments as business needs demand.
Assist with troubleshooting in the Field when necessary.
Provide Key Performance Indicators as directed by management regarding the Conversions Group’s performance.
Develop annual business plans to set the future path of the Conversions Group.
Supervises administrative and technical personnel involved in developing conversions projects.
Works with Marketing Management to push conversions through social media and marketing email blasts
Develop team of after market sales people to push proactive sales of conversions, overhauls, preventative maintenance contracts
Your profile
Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a closely related field
3 years of experience evaluating applications of high-speed packaging equipment in customer environments.
Benefits
3 years of experience answering technical questions about can fillers, bottle fillers, rinsers, filler service modules, and conveyor systems.
2 years of experience with inventory control software or manufacturing software.
Experience with Enterprise Resources Planning Systems, SAP preferred.
The employee is required to travel up to 20% of the time using various forms of public transportation including airlines.
