Your responsibilities
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.
Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all accounts are accurately reconciled and financial transactions are recorded properly.
Manage the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial results.
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis to support management in decision-making.
Review and analyze manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, and cost of goods sold (COGS) to ensure accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Collaborate with internal departments, including operations, procurement, and sales, to gather necessary data for financial reporting.
Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations for financial reports.
Monitor cash flow and ensure proper controls are in place for the company’s financial transactions.
Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and software to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Lead and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and work with management to implement best practices.
Your profile
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred).
Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years in a senior or supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting, inventory management, and COGS analysis is highly preferred.
