Theory and practice combined: KHS technology dialogs successfully launched

KHS GmbH successfully launches technology dialogs: experts from the filling and packaging specialist gave talks on process and filling technology in theory and practice at the Schönram brewery in Petting and the Engelbräu brewery in Rettenberg.

  • Trade visitors learn more about KHS' current technology
  • Focus on filling lines for medium-sized brewers
  • Process engineering for optimizing processing sequences
Dortmund/Petting/Rettenberg, 28 October 2015 – KHS GmbH successfully launches technology dialogs: experts from the filling and packaging specialist gave talks on process and filling technology in theory and practice at the Schönram brewery in Petting and the Engelbräu brewery in Rettenberg. The trade visitors then toured the breweries for a direct view of the machines. The invited guests from the brewing industry exchanged views in intensive discussions on current topics of plant engineering. KHS is continuing the technology dialogs. "At the kick-off of our event series, we conveyed how KHS can specifically equip medium-sized breweries with efficient technology," says Markus Hunneck, head of Sales Germany at KHS GmbH. The events were centered around system expertise for single machines. According to Hunneck, especially small and medium-sized brewing operations frequently offer a considerable amount of potential for optimization. Professionals visiting from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland participated in the informational exchange and examined the systems in operation on site. Among other things, speakers from the Process and Filling Technology functional departments and from the KHS Technical Center explained the KHS Paramix C, the ECOSTAB C for stabilizing beer, and its little brother the ECOSTAB B for smaller breweries, as well as beer filtration. The experts from KHS also presented systems for reducing the oxygen content in beverages as well as intelligent sanitizing systems such as the Innopro CIP-C. Dialog among experts with plenty of practical experience The participants had the opportunity to inspect KHS equipment on site during the practical part of the events where the focus was on the Innofill Glass DPG Micro bottle filler. This pneumatically controlled glass bottle filler with exact determination of filling levels for the low and medium capacity ranges is ideally suited to meet the requirements of medium-sized breweries. The Innofill Glass DRS ZSM was also presented. This filler, designed to bottle beer and soft drinks in glass bottles, is equipped with probe-based fill level measurement and the related central fill level adjustment that offers particularly high machine availability and exact filling volumes. "The response from visitors was wholly positive, and during the event the exchange of information prevailing in the brewers’ network was as lively as we had hoped for," Hunneck explains. This series of KHS events is to be continued in order to further intensify the exchange of information with customers and to directly introduce prospective customers to a high level of expertise in filling and process technology within an exclusive circle of participants.
